The founder of Blue Spirit is Bernard Stoffel.
Bernard holds a doctorate in veterinary medicine since 1984 and has always worked in the European racing industry.
Before he graduated, Bernard Stoffel was already a breeder and had a passion for horseracing. The first filly he bred was by Kebah (Bel Baraka) and a grand-daughter of Hyperion: memories ... memories ...
Early in his career Bernard Stoffel practiced equine veterinary medicine in the South-west of France, near Agen, between Toulouse and Bordeaux, an area where the racetracks are very numerous. Bernard created the “ Haras de Hautefage” where he worked with high quality thoroughbreds and trotters.
In 1994 Bernard Stoffel returned to Belgium to work for the famous stable Darby Farm, which was experiencing great success on the track with his trotters "standardbred" and offered to European breeders a stake in leading stallions.
Subsequently Bernard Stoffel has further expanded his scope and, while continuing his equine practice, he has worked with various companies active in food and equine supplementation as a researcher and scientific support, as well as with bloodstock agents as a consultant.
Bernard’s Blue Spirit represents a synthesis of his experiences.
